It’s November 1st. 11/1. That’s a lot of ones. Well, not as many as 11/11. But you get the point.
I know I haven’t posted in a while. Gonna try to change that.
I have to update a few things: the live music section, most notably. I also need to add a page for my latest music habit: taping.
And maybe I’ll redesign. But how many times have we heard that one?

Site gets the hits; Zook gets the hook
I tried to check out the fireronzook.com site yesterday afternoon at work — it just said “Service Unavailable.” It still does. But someone else said it had a celebratory message of sorts after the announcement was made, and before the site pretty much crashed.

Huge jackpot reflects trend in state lotteries
Apparently some lotteries are getting harder to win. But I think many lotto players aren’t getting the point. The chances you’ll win are incredibly, incredibly small. Sock that one or two dollars a week that you spend on a ticket into anything, even a measly savings account, and unless you were that very lucky one, you’ll come out ahead. Think there aren’t people who are playing the lottery every week? Spend a few hours at a TV station between 10pm and 2a, for a few nights in a row — you’ll notice many of the same callers, needing the lotto numbers…

I’m not really sure why Jessie is making the push to trademark. I mean, the article explains what she’s trying to do, but it’s not like she was one of the higher-profile candidates. People will probably say “Jessie who?”
