Huge jackpot reflects trend in state lotteries
Apparently some lotteries are getting harder to win. But I think many lotto players aren't getting the point. The chances you'll win are incredibly, incredibly small. Sock that one or two dollars a week that you spend on a ticket into anything, even a measly savings account, and unless you were that very lucky one, you'll come out ahead. Think there aren't people who are playing the lottery every week? Spend a few hours at a TV station between 10pm and 2a, for a few nights in a row -- you'll notice many of the same callers, needing the lotto numbers...

I saw this on the wires at work, slugged as "Marshmallow Bust." Intrigued, I read on. Not quite as interesting as I expected, but still strange.
